As an autonomous designer, Hanna Kooistra, 1995, engages in an endless process of reflecting, copying and , transforming utensils that we surround ourselves with on a daily basis. These objects have an immense influence on how we experience the world, but have often become taken for granted. She developed a serial way of working that for her is all about exploring an infinite flow of potential and finding new interpretations hidden in our everyday lives. By stacking existing images, cutting and stitching, flattening and folding together, interpretations emerge that challenge a familiar image and produce a new aesthetic.
