Stammie originated from a fascination with primitive wood construction using round tree trunks. This clunky but very solid building form has been subtly translated to the chair. With an eye for detail, this chair is a special object through the formal language of the wooden frame and the refined wood grain, which emerges beautifully thanks to the playful and natural finish.

Under the name Atelier-AW, designer Arjen Witteveen creates custom-made furniture objects for homes, offices and museums, among others, with a strong focus on environmentally friendly materials and a personal approach. Besides commercial projects he creates free work, inspired by experimentation and personal passion, always with an eye for detail and a refined approach to design.
