Design talk: Hotspotz designer Jingge Qu highlighted

During this short talk you will meet Jingge Qu, one of the designers with unique products present at Hotspotz – upstairs Next Level (the place where color, eyecatchers and designers come together in an inspiring area.). MORE ABOUT THE PRODUCTS Starting from ceramic fragments that were dug up from local soil, I traced the contours of these fragments and depicted the historical changes that lay beneath, giving a glimpse of the moments that are lost in the development of time. Resulting in unique pieces with a decorative function that establish a visual dialogue between ‘then and now’. MORE ABOUT THE DESIGNER Jingge Qu is a ceramic designer currently working and living in Arnhem. Originally growing up in a historical city Xi’an (China), ceramic culture has surrounded her for years. Through her interest in ceramics from the past and 3D ceramic printing, she started her project, trying to find the relationship between old ceramic fragments and nowadays life.
